Top 5 Guitarists of all time
It is very difficult to put forward a list of top 5 Guitarists of all time, since there are lot of guitarists who can make up this list easily. But I have come up with 5 Guitarists who are the best of the best for me at least. Your top 5 can be different from my top 5.Comment down who are your top 5 Guitarists. So, let's begin the list.
5. Marty Friedman
Marty Friedman is an American guitarist known for playing lead guitar in the heavy metal band Megadeth. Marty Friedman has exceptional guitar skills and uses unique strumming position shown in the image above.
He started playing guitar when he was 14 years old and he is a self taught guitarist. Friedman joined Megadeth( a trash metal band) in February 1990. From there on he became what he is, a Guitarist Mastermind.
4. Steve Vai
Steve Vai is also an American guitarist who is great at infusing emotions while playing fast riffs across the fretboard. Steve Vai started his musical career in 1978 at the age of eighteen. He embarked on a solo career in 1983 and released eight albums to date. He released his first album "Flex-Able" in 1984. His most successful album "Passion and Warfare" was described as the "the richest and best hard rock guitar-virtueso album of the 80's". My favorite Steve Vai song is 'tender surrender'. He puts so much emotion into his guitar playing for sure!.
3. Eddie Van Halen
Eddie Van Halen is the Guitarist who popularized the tapping technique. He is just extraordinary at guitar and amazes me all the time!.
Eddie Van Halen is the main songwriter and the founder of the band Van Halen.
He learned to play guitar from watching and listening. During recitals of Bach or Mozart he would improvise.
Van Halen has influenced an entire generation of guitarists. He is one of those guys who doesn't yet know how to read music entirely but is a master at playing guitar.
2. Eric Clapton
Eric Clapton is an English rock and blues Guitarist. He is the only three time inductee to the rock and roll Hall of Fame.
Eric Clapton is known for his amazing blues and rock guitar licks, which are very emotional and harmonized.
Eric Clapton has said that blues musician Robert Johnson is his single most influential Guitarist.
Eric Clapton has released many songs of which 'Cocaine' is my favorite.
1. Jimi Hendrix
The god of the Guitar world is what I call him. For he certainly is. Jimi Hendrix is regarded as one of the most influential Guitarists of all time. Jimi Hendrix gave a all new window to the rock music as a whole. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame described him as "the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music".
Born in Seattle, Washington, Hendrix started playing guitar at the age of 15. It is said that he also played guitar even when his fingers bleeded.
Jimi Hendrix as an adolescent in the 1950s, became interested in rock and roll artists such as Elvis Presly, Little Richard and Chuck Berry.
