An electric guitar is a guitar that uses one or more pickups to convert the vibration of its strings into electrical signals. The vibration occurs when a guitarist strums plucks, picks, slaps or taps the strings.
Electric guitars tend to look a little complicated due to the electronic switches on them. However the core features of the guitar are exactly the same.
