Easy Guitar Chords

In this blog, You will be learning your first and easy guitar chords. If you are just starting out and don't know where to start, friend you have come to the correct place. First, you will be learning your first open chords as a beginner guitar player. basically, you will learn six of the most important guitar chords.

One of the most common barriers that guitar players face when they first pick up the guitar is the overwhelming number of chords to learn. Many will attempt to learn as many as possible without trying to master or memorize their shapes. Some may even jump into barre chords, which are notoriously difficult for beginners. It is important to learn these five open chords before you proceed with the complex Barre chords.
                 

OPEN CHORDS:

                               Eminor(Em)

It is one of the easiest and most used chord in Guitar. The Index finger is placed on the 2nd fret B string and the middle finger is placed on 2nd fret D string. All the strings are placed. See that your fingers don't touch other strings.

                              G Major(G)

This is a major chord and it requires three fingers. First, the middle finger is placed on the E string (The Thick one) on 3rd fret then the index finger on the 2nd fret A string and finally the ring finger on the 3rd fret lower E string.

                             D major(D)

This chord uses three fingers. First index finger on 2nd fret G string then middle finger on 2nd fret low E string and finally the ring finger on 3rd fret B string.

The first two strings should not be played that is the High E and A string should not be played and the D string should be played open.

                              A major(A)

A major chord has three finger positions. The index finger on 2nd fret D string, the middle on 2nd fret G string and then ring finger on 2nd fret B string. Remember to not touch the low E string because it will interrupt the chord with noise while strumming.

                              Cmajor(C)

The C Major Chord feels a little difficult to play in the beginning as you have to stretch your fingers and see that your fingers don't touch the middle string. So for C chord again three fingers are necessary. The first finger that is the index finger at 1st fret B string, Middle finger on 2nd fret D string and ring finger on 3rd fret A string. Remember to not touch the G string in the middle.

                               E major(E)

For this chord, the index finger is at first fret G string then middle finger on 2nd fret A string and at last the ring finger on D string 2nd fret.

Some songs that you can play with the A, E and D major chords are  “Happy Birthday,” “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol, “Three Little Birds” and “Stir It Up” by Bob Marley, and the standard 12 bar blues.
